I hope you are enjoying the lovely spring weather. Historically spring symbolized life and new beginnings. It’s the season of rebirth, joy and love. In alignment with this, Mr. Hubbard stresses the importance of imagination and creativity. In the book Science of Survival, he states, “We see that imagination is valuable and vital, both to creating tomorrow’s realities in the society—the invaluable contribution of the artist, writer and composer—and in the practical computations of everyday living.”
Being that we are now almost halfway through the year, it’s a perfect time to evaluate your artistic and business goals for 2022 to make sure you are on track. Whatever the results of your evaluation, know that the Hubbard Management System provides infinite solutions to improve your current situation or further increase your expansion. This is what EMA Artists USA is all about and I warmly invite all artists to become a member of our group and so reap the benefits that we offer.

FEATURED ARTIST - Rachel Rausch-Johnson
Rachel Rausch-Johnson is a portrait and event photographer in the Portland Metro area. She's been a photographer for 25 years, and she believes that photography is magic. We hope you enjoy our interview with Rachel, where she discusses how she applies Mr. Hubbard's administrative technology to run her photography business.
In general, how has the use of Mr. Hubbard's administrative technology impacted your business?
In short, it’s been very stabilizing. Using the Hubbard Management System takes the mystery out of how to run my photography studio. No more guesswork, no more wondering what to do next – it’s all right there for me to use. And if I don’t know something, there is a reference to go to.
What piece of Mr. Hubbard's administrative wisdom have you found particularly helpful in making your business successful?
The Organizing Board was the most impactful step I did on the program. As a solo owner, I had always envisioned that I would always be the one that would have to do it all – not a pleasant undertaking! But once I got that step done and actually understood what its purpose is, WOW. I can see who to hire next, how to train them, how to work my creations so they are consistent and profitable!
As a successful art business owner, is there one really valuable tip that you would like our readers to take away with them?
I encourage my artist friends in the present and future to decide to fully embrace this technology. When I did that, I knew I could and should expand (as in hire the needed people) to grow my studio. COMMIT to learning the Hubbard Management System. You will not go wrong. As Mr. Hubbard says, “It is not man’s dreams that fail him. It is the lack of know-how required to bring those dreams into actuality.”
